My father was very strong against any swearing and we learned quickly that it was not to be a part of our lives.  He did, though, have one downfall when he was truely digusted:  "Ho Hum Crap!"  We would never have had the nerve though to use it ourselves.

My real husband had a quick wit and a sly sense of humor, and it makes

me smile even now to remember how he used to crack me up. He was occasionally profane especially when working on the car as he believed cursewords had a curative influence on otherwise impossible repairs and replacements.

The only time I ever heard my Dad swear in front of Mother and we girls she was so angry I think she didn't speak to him for at least an hour....after that she burst with all she had to say to him.

My first Husband never swore near me until the marriage was over. OLd fashioned Victorian Standards.
