Oops....not 'satisfactory'....the word, much more meaningful and interesting in the context, is trustworthy.....he found it as, not more, trustworthy as religion.

Nautikos

I likes best the Einstein quote.....finding the last sentence especially interesting.  That he would label the road to religion comfortable and alluring?!  Maybe for some modern day TV celebrity congregations.....but, otherwise...... What was he smoking!LOL! Another observation....I find it interesting you shared this when his final analysis is he found his choice "as" satisfactory, not "more".

I suppose a lot of theories are guess work Naut, until someone gets to the root of the subject and can show a discerning audience actual proof. I am glad you can explain these subjects in a way that the layman can understand.

I remember seeing a program on History that talked about Lemaitre. A very interesting fellow, and I remember the program saying how some thought the idea of the universe expanding was ridiculous.

I guess the most exciting aspect is that we are still discovering... and the more I dabble in perfect maths and into physics the stronger my faith becomes. Everything makes such sense. the theory of chaos just doesn't apply. I do love your Science class but i wish you would let me bring my pet Goldfish into class.

Very well done, Professor...

I seem to remember a time not so long ago when the astrophysists thought the universe was contracting, a slow reversal of the big bang. Now it seems the big bang is still on. Amazing!
