Sense of Integration rather than sense of fear long term solution?
As Thomas Friedman points out in his column ( in the San Jose Mercury News today, originally for the NYT) there are 90 million Arab youth (between the ages of  15 and 24), 14 million of them  are unemployed, many of whom are among the 15 to 20 million Muslims living in Europe. He quotes Jordan's King Abdullah "There are not enough jobs and not enough hope" He goes on to say that Europe has done an extremely poor job of integrating and employing its Muslim minorities as well as investing in North Africa and the Middle East (its natural backyard and former colonies) conributing to the growing sense of alienation and frustration in the Muslim world. He contrasts that to the US efforts with Mexico such as Nafta.
