That's the sort of thing I always loved all my life.  Makes me sorry I got weather-wimpy in my old age.

We had a sudden tornado type waterfall just as we left the restaurant from supper last night, got soaked.

I am comforted that you no longer help out with this one...well you do, your donation is something big actually. I am glad though that you don't risk your precious self.

Good thinking Pat, the first loss is always the best.

Pat

I do my best to stay away from book sales - they're far too tempting! Too-crowded book shelves and, having run out of shelves, too-crowded boxes and corners and nooks and crannies has led to an environmental problem in this house! I need to get over my acquisitive instincts and learn to part with at least a few of my friends ... But it will be very, very hard...

Whatever anyone believes about climate change,

we had all better get used to unexpected weathers, until we sort out what our new expectations should be.

Books and cookies... Sounds like a lovely day in!
