Pease porridge was actually a very thick sort of thing like split pea soup

made with savory seasoning like bacon or ham. It was also called pease pottage. Some liked it hot, some liked it cold...

we played the same games to the Nursery rhymes ...also Ring a ring a rosy, a pocket full of posy, a tissue a tissue we all fall down...played that in a circle and the last one down was out....now I know it is a song about the plague. Kids don't play that anymore.
