Isn't it wonderful that the beautiful in our memories always overshadows the sad?

Sad but at least happy memories remain. I love the country singing as it is easy to see happy spirits with wonderful smiles

You have remembered that night well. I was about two and a half when my sister was born. I have vague memories of her birth. I remember my mother being incredibly happy.

Funny how the emotional cues get so braided, the sweet and
funny and sad all together. The 4th was my older sister's wedding anniversary - she and her sailor husband were married after knowing one another for six weeks, and within a month or so he left for active duty in the battle of the Pacific - their son was nearly three before his father got to see him. They were married nearly 68 years before he passed away at 90, and a year ago she went to be with him, also at 90. I miss her, she was a peach, and I know you miss your sis, too.
