Lucky with the rain. Here in Southern California rain is scarce. We need a miracle for it to come.

It has sure been one stormy spring and summer. I lost power for about ninety minutes on Tuesday. Thankfully, it was only that long. There were some people who went a few days after Tuesday's storm.

Your old tree foretell what was to come and took the honorable way out. Seems funny storms like this in the midst of Summer. Makes one realize how puny we are compared to nature.

As always, whatever you get we get a little later...We can look forward to a wet and chilly weekend, though the winds will have lost their strength by the time they get here...

We had storms that took out power in a town about 20 miles from
here, lots of lightning, but no real bad winds in our town. Good to know you're okay - I know the floods are causing problems here along the Mississippi and the Missouri and all the creeks and low spots - highways flooded and closed, levee breaks. I guess June has always been a wet month, but this one seems moreso. Stay dry...

Thank you God that our Taps is safe, has hot coffee, and the power still working. And Vancouver and the Canadian prairies are having a drought....I guess it must be Climate change.

so glad to hear you made it through without damage and that you still have power. straight line winds just took out a small shopping center in the little town to the north of me not long ago, right next door homes , not damaged. go figure.
