I stuff then into a bigger bag and always make hole in each so no child can suffocate by pulling one over its head. Then when the bag is full I put it out to be recycled.

I take plastic bags to The Center where they use them to hold
merchandise from the resale shop, or to hold bagels & etc., on free bread day. Panera drops off day old bread to the Center on Tuesdays - to other locations other days, so their leftovers don't go to waste. Is that two birds with one stone or what? Love that trick of wrapping them for easy re-use...
