It is a small ray of hope.....and, as always, we must focus on the old,"How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time..." adage.... for if ever it were applicable this is a time it would seem to be.
I had the thought, though, when I read the line: “Above all we need idealistic young people to understand that joining this death cult is an ugly, misguided and wrong-headed way to express their desire to sacrifice.”....I cannot help but wonder if these young people are not, as he says, idealistic....but are, instead, so disenchanted with life and with their hopes for the future that they gravitate to the very pull of what is really a death cult of sorts, disguised as a way to eternal life. I don't know, but to feel any kind of power when one feels so powerless has always been a basic "reason" for insane acts - and religion is a great justification for all kinds of behavior...just IMHO.

That is about the first time our PM hasn't talked with a foot in his mouth. He may be improving....although even at his worst he's been better than the fiasco that was in power before.

I wonder how many more world leaders are going to come to Abbot's conclusion. Hopefully, there are more of them.
