I love the way you write when you really get going.

I was sure I had commented on this yesterday, but I don't see my comment here. I love the ballsy way she handled him! It was a 'you go, girl!' episode!

It all seemed so lovely in the beginning and you handled him so very well right to the end.

I, too, experienced the Goddess Decade....but I wonder if my daughter will get to, for we have moved so quickly into yet more and more youth worship that it seems to me that now that decade may have slipped down to the 40's...30's? Sadly, women in their 50's who are just hitting their stride in reality are talked about in the press as though they are some miracle of preservation!........I agree with CCT, actually....one rarely knows the true motivation of another, especially in matters of love and sex. Can't wait for the next installment.

Re: Naut
I realize the grief was detailed, but in my revision I realized I needed to include/explain the "goddess decade" as it is a plot hinge in our story...

Who knows what people think? Perhaps some are just dragged along by circumstances.
No one really knows what will happen when the first thrill of anticipated discovery is over.
One might as well examine the entrails of a chicken. Good read though.

I totally disagree with Naut...re this Michael. Saw too many of his type in my life and if the intimacy between a man and a woman becomes no more than a gymnastic exercise then that was always my decision to exit. Michael was a male dominating predator, and I salute you for not getting drawn into his games.
Ah but there are not many Wiley John's in this World and look how closely I came to never finding him.

One of the things that are interesting is that your words had already conveyed to me the real grief you refer to at the beginning of your 'revision' - which is why my comment was as it was.
This post is clearly different in its tone - that itself shows the Godess is now in control, and it would be fascinating to find out the impossible - to get Prof Michael's perspective on this affair...It might be that he was not 'just' an aging Lothario, but also in a late search for a 'soulmate', a commodity extremely rare, I believe...
