you tug at the emotions without making it a meldrama. very well written. I don't think I realized that you had been divorced so long. The Father of my Sons divorced me in 1986. I tried to fight the divorce but in Australia, it is automatic after one year apart.

My parents were a few months short of twenty-seven years when they separated in 2008, which they remain to this day.
Oh, yes, it is at times best to move on.

A great post, TAPS. The beginning and the end, wrapping things up - and making it all sound easy, although I know it couldn't be. You're a terrific writer!
