I am so glad that you no longer Iron for his Son. Of course he can decide what his son can do or cannot, but imagine seeing it as your problem!
Fidgety and annoying to you? Yes something is eating at him. Is he the jealous type? Perhaps you enjoyed being with your Sister too much so he had to reassure himself you will do anything for him.
