Pat Luv she is well out of your view. WE don't need nasty altercations ....I can go and do a University class if I want aggravation. Now in life, I just want to be calm and happy....as you deserve. And you are a superb writer and don't need put downs by people who are such poor writers themselves.

Have you seen "Writing Alone and With Others" by Pat Schneider? It is an excellent guideline for writing groups and establishes a safe environment - especially valuable for new writers, or those trying again after dropping out because of this kind of criticism and careless comment made years earlier. I think all writers are bruised at some point by unthinking negatives, and it takes a lot of time and TLC to restore confidence and a willingness to risk sharing again.

I remember our writer's group had someone nasty who not only criticized others writing but would attack the person. Actually he would ridicule...a definite no no. I wouldn't contribute when he would attend and luckily Adam finally spoke to him about it and he dropped out. No one missed him at all. He used to teach. His writing was bland. I wonder how many students he turned off from writing with his attitude?
Good for you for standing up for what you believe in and being backed by management as well. Maybe you can do this project under a new name without her.
