Oh how my Grandpa Jelinek hated to be called a "Bohunk". He was so proud of his Bohemian heritage, what he had been through to come to the United States and to become a Naturalized Citizen of this country. He worked hard, was so patriotic, so loved his family. He had a bit of trouble with learning English and talking without an accent, and it hurt him when people were prejudiced against them in that little coal-mining town where they had settled.
