ps....I brought up my two sons on my own...I told them to do as they wished BUT they would wear any adverse consequences. No way was I getting out of my cozy bed to bail them out of a jam or a police cell. ( Of course I would have but they didn't know that.) My boundaries were known, if they broke them they fixed it themselves.

I don't really believe that any boy of 21 out there having a too good a time. Money in his pocket, making friends easily and the girls positively throwing themselves all over you. I could expect your behavior to be less than what you can really be. 21 is way young to settle down, especially with so much going on. I would hope though that it would be a learning curve and the excessive drinking and partying would wane eventually.
