Great blog even if I like Cameron as well as Obama and admire him (Obama) for the years of hate he has absorbed, mostly based on hypocrisy and hate. God Bless America indeed.!!!!!!

My Nephew Nat and his girl Jen have flown to Amsterday for a holiday and then on to Paris for a few days.   After reading all of your posts, how can I not be anxious for them?

I had to go with the consensus of news pundits and agree Cameron was the best choice, even though he did make me nervous with his seeming chumminess with Obama......by far the lesser of two evils seems to be the bottom line.  And while we have had the feelings of Cold War here....I can't even imagine what Europe has lived under all these years......I think the weariness you describe is probably a very apt description of what comes across in everything I've read and seen in interviews.   Good post, Naut.

I remember the end of WWII clerly as if it were yesterday. I was not too happy with the election in England he is too close to Obama.

I was listening to the results from the BBC. I'm quite happy with the outcome.

Best of wishes to the Brits.

It is 70 years since the end of that war I know that. I always know how many years since it ended. I was born in April 1945...I am sick of being reminded how old I am. LOL but I wanted Cameron to win and certainly did not want to see that labor fool cause the sort of chaos that Australia is trying to sort out after the Labor debacle there. I don't usually discuss other people's internal Politics but I guess because we are The Commonwealth we feel we have a right where England is concerned.

The effects are still being felt in Europe to this day...I feel that Cameron was the better option as well...

Well the funniest thing that struck me was one candidate being asked a question and an interpreter had to answer as the candidate did not speak English. That was one beautiful day Naut, everyone was so happy.

While I can relate to the sense of being weary of war - there's been

a hot or cold war and related tension in the world for as long as I can remember - I know nothing of Brit political parties, or which would do best with fending off the Islamists. I just wish they'd all pick up their damn marbles and go home.
