Your meal sounded so Yummy but then it got burned. So sorry to read that. ...Most days have their ups and downs...life...but I ignore the news as much as I can.

My Baltimore Sis went to work as usual this morning. Rumors and anxieties were flying. Word was that there were plans to protest at Security Mall near her office. Then they were told that the mall was closed. Then they were told that the nearby Center for Medicare and Medicaid was closed. Then she was told that early dismissal was likely and that I should go home. Then her team leader told her to leave quietly and drive out using the back entrance/exit. She was one of the first to leave the SSA campus. Now she is safely at home far away from the rioting watching the CNN coverage on TV. She is very sad at what is going on.

As a person who lives near Baltimore (but nonetheless identitifies himself as a Baltimorean), I am saddened by what I am seeing on the news. The violence is going to solve nothing and only serve to escalate things. Hopefuly, the National Guard and the Maryland State Police can get things under control. I also feel that the mayor needs to resign. She is in over her head.

I am so thankful I don't watch the news. I get more than enough of it here in blogit land. Racism has nothing to do with what they are doing there any more than it has to do with something in Ferguson. Sigh!

Baltimore - I too watched some of that...As you probably know, there's a hell of a lot I could say about all that, but I don't have the time (or the inclination, LOL) to write a book, so all I'm going to say is - yeah, bad scene...

I have to throw pc to the wind on this one. Part of my comment would be on a recent
post of Amanda's on Baltimore. Inner city black thugs cause most of the violent crime
in the U.S. Almost every American city no matter how big, has a violent crime problem.
Cries of retribution and this and that. Look what happened to the Jews in the holocaust.
Look what we did to the Japanese during and after WW2. Both pulled themselves up.
Both now are the highest income earners in the U.S. I believe we are going to go
through racial riots again like the sixties. ''Far'' left sympathizers aren't helping
matters either. Most cops are just trying to stay alive and do their job.
