- Go to OVER THE RAINBOW...JUST A NOTE ABOUT EMPATHY
I honestly wish I could feel more empathy. The song I really like to hear is. (There will be blue skies over the white cliffs of Dover.) I suppose because it meant so much at the time.

You would have made an excellent Nurse. A really good nurse has to have empathy. Anyone can learn the science but a real nurse works with her patient as a person in trouble.

I know how you felt - I'm not ashamed to admit that I too have often felt that way when hearing a beautiful voice, and have been moved to tears! I am particualrly and totally enthralled with sopranos, even some gorgeous mezzos...But there are moments when even tenors give me that kind of thrill! A performance that did move me to tears was Pavarotti singing with his father (I suddenly understood where he got his voice!) Panis Angelicus by Cesar Franck in the cathedral of Modena...

I have felt empaty, too, for different people on reality shows. I have felt connected to them due to a variety of reasons.
Sadly, empathy seems to be lacking by so many nowadays. Baltimore, where I live near, is a close example right now.
