Well apart from it being a saving grace for you. It was really nice for Jill and her Mum to take the trouble to explain to you what might have broken some young man's heart.
Most would have just sent you a note . Dear John. so long, Or the olde song . Goodbye Mr Teddy Bear me and you must say adieu, I've got another sweet-heart who is far much nicer than you. No I prefer Jill's kind of approach.
