I myself am a social science nerd. My favorite semester in college was when I took two sociology courses, intro to Psychology and a political science.

I don't know if it's from my mom driving me nuts with her constant curiosity and going on and on about how everything worked so I tuned it out and put up a wall....that's my read.....but I will be interested in something scientific at the moment I'm watching/listening....and then, that's it! I just pretty much take all of it for granted on the one hand...and, as you know, with total skepticism on the other. As for physics...I know nothing....I remember the first time I learned the basic concept of atoms and some guy going o and on about how that desk was actually made up of all these moving atoms....after the initial, "wow" (5 sec), I more or less just was more interested in how they took on all the different shapes (another hour or so)....and then.....sigh.....but I'm here to learn!

Yes, much history in the social sciences. Don't forget economics and anthropology.
I still have text books from over twenty years ago.

I had terrible trouble with Science and as for physics...yet like you I love them. I have major in psych as well as general nursing, a major in Communnications and a Nurse Teachers diploma...I went nuts on study once I started. LOL. I battled my way through all those studies physics being almost an impossible task. i agree though that they all tie intogether. I look forward to more that you have to say.

I have a friend, formerly a surgical nurse, who switched over to
Christian Science after a couple events she called miracles. She's unlike most CS people in that she seems eager to sign me up. I simply smile and thank her for her kind thoughts, but like you, I really lean most affectionately toward science, esp. physics which I do not understand as well as I'd like...

There are many, many Christians with degrees in science. My belief is that too many with knowledge of Science know too little about God and the truth of the Word. I have a Psych major and thought it was so great sixty years ago until I saw the main principals change with each new wind. The Word never changes it is as new as the day of Adam and as old as that day too.
