I've thought for a long time they should reinstitute the work corps in some form or the other to put the long-term unemployed to work, as well as provide training programs for various other programs, etc....I don't know but I'm sure the potential is there for lots of win/wins where the public works get done and people get the pride of job, earn their benefits, plus some kind of additinal salary....maybe a tax credit, like I said, I don't know but we have human potential being wasted everywhere in this country and the places to use it.

Re: Re: Justi
I suppose if one can bring as many to Christ as Billy Sunday (I think) did there is no harm in that. Today we really need witness of whatever mode if the source is Jesus.

Re: Justi
I have to admit that the Grandpa Preacher's stance is not his normal one during services. He is quite soft-spoken, not a pulpit pounder, though quite a good preacher. Here he was doing his Billy Sunday imitation. What do you think:

Re: Naut
If the food is good, one doesn't care much about the color of the district, or the opinion of the preacher. LOL

Perhaps they make them stronger in the first place because of expecting earthquakes?

we have had a lot of bridge closings or lanes closed in St Louis....I would much rather suffer that inconvenience than drowning or wheelchair

She is such a cutie...In Maryland, it is not the bridges but the asphalt roads themselves that are having the major issues. There are potholes galore.

if the countries would spend our money on us...ie education, health and infastructure, there would be no unemployment...especially if others are paying for the work and those who had no work were employed working ....well something like that.

The Zona Rosa? You go into the Red Light District to eat? Does your nephew, the preacher, know that? And of course Wemberly, who's probably following in his footsteps?
And your bridge troubles remind me of the crumbling Gardiner Expressway here in T.O...Why can't they build anything right? Look at the Roman aquaeducts - still standing after 2000 years...

Well I guess it is going to be expensive for the tax payer. Perhaps it will involve a toll to pay for the upkeep. Your Babies seem to jump about within a few months, remarkable.

That baby is so precious. She has grandpa down pat I believe. I don't want to get on my soap box I think we all know what has happened to our money in the last 10 or 12 years. It supports foreign governments for them to be terrorists against us.

Same problem here in Montreal - they've been closing down bridges and turnpikes and traffic is a nightmare! I'm asking the same thing as Pat_B, although I think we all know where much of our tax money is going....politicians have deep pockets. Lovely baby! Quite expressive, LOL!

All our bridges are rusting and structurally stressed...They thought
when they put 'em up in the '50s that'd be the end of it, I guess. Wonder where all the gas tax money went once all the roads/bridges, etc., were built...
