All life was free range. One of the things was that the law was the law. I don't remember of but one kidnapping it was the (Berlin) I know that is wrong but it is all I can remember. The kidnapper was given the death sentence and it was done. We are too soft now on crime.

I'm so happy that my granddaughters get to be pretty much free range due to the neighborhoods Michele and Shad have lived in....they are very involved and know everyone....and all the parents watch out for all the kids.

I myself was not a free-range kid nor was my sister. Times have changed a lot over the recent years.

I too was a free range kid as to were my sons but none of my Grandchildren. Sad sorry World...I just think that there are too many of us. Too much instant communication. There is hardly anywhere free to roam.

I too was a free range kid - and so were my kids! The very idea hat it could be otherwise would have been impossible to entertain - yes the world has changed!...And yet - when I think about the 'details' - I think it still is possible for kids to roam freely in the country, and in the kind of neighbourhood where I was fortunate to grow up...

Times change Taps, we used to roam for miles and see no one. Before that my mum said she used to walk to the next village passing tramps sometimes, she never thought of anyone harming her. The only thing she did not like was if a funeral had passed on that road, then she stayed put.
