- Go to Winter in my desert, trees stand stiff like great burnt umber statues...#24
is it really minus 15????????
I'm in California, so it's nippy for me at 64 degrees! I'm spoiled!
Yikes! I could not cope with minus anything. Oh, the trees.
Well I used to live in the high desert where Joshua trees grow.
They are weird--they certainly don't blow in the breeze. They
are cool though--they look like people at night silhouetted against the desert sky.

poetjpb,
love your writing. What kind of trees would those be,standing so stiff. Is it very warm where you are? It is warming up here a bit, quite a balmy minus -15, now my trees are standing stiff and covered in snow.
