I'm beginning to think that everyone took the wrong kind of pill....what is influencing the human brain in the present tense? Or am I just getting old?

It is so amazing to me when you look at it simply from the perspective that we live in a time when it appears that much of the very essence of British culture has been affected.....and that of American culture seems threatened in much the same way..... largely due to what seems to have been a growing need to cater to the minorities and, probably due to the need to purge white/assumed privileged 'guilt' from the collective conscience.....and the co-emergent overall Politically Correct movement that took in ALL supposedly maligned and mistreated elements and rushed to try to correct centuries of social mores via public shaming of those who treated those poor groups so poorly and a sensitivity that borders on psychotic.................while at the same time we have the rise of social media providing the single largest stage ever for public shaming and bullying on the hugest scale ever seen behind hidden screens where anyone can say anything that is there forever and is likely to be believed by a growing number of people overwhelmed with information they don't fact-check and a popcorn mentality that has no idea who said what when where why and how and attention spans of gnats.......and an internet full of misinformation ingested by the aforementioned growing number of people.
Well, it is just all a bunch of speeding trains headed down tracks with the guy who is supposed to switch the tracks asleep at the controls and........chaos is the only possible outcome.....it would seem....to me.
