I distinctly remember
having to sign a piece of paper when we applied for our marriage certificate. This paper had a whole paragraph dedicated to clarifying that marriage did NOT mean one person owned the other. And my hubby would confirm that it's definitely not in my nature to be anyone's slave...
I giggled through the article because it all sounds so absurd. But it's really not funny...
