Winnipeg came back 4 years ago...the were...no I cannot remember which team came from the USA to become the Winnipeg jets again. and the Senators were an original hockey team and restarted before I came here to live(and soon to be a dual citizen with Australia) ...just incase you had forgot. LOL.

Brilliant call to bring your Grandparents in. They are harder to ignore than parents and that little kid need to please the beloved Grandparents will work against you every time. At a certain age, working against one's parents is almost mandatory but Grandparents No. I guess it pricked a young man's ego to be called out.

You were really just embarrassed, perfectly normal reaction with those circumstances and men especially, seem to often mask emotions with anger....especially at that age. Teenage girls acting out often go through it sooner as they usually hit all the stages sooner; then at the college and just after age, the men come along and it's called 'angry young man'...but it's really the same thing! You were lucky to have caring friends....and obviously know it now.
