Maybe someone at the Center (you?) should give a "course" on the types of scams people might face....:)

I'm not there thank goodness but I get no name no number calls too often and lost $2,000.00 to a grandfather scam making the rounds here. Very upsetting, all of it.

I am si glad that Edna did not fall for this Scam....Wiley was caught or we were actually in the grandparent one and it really knocks a person off their perch. One feels so violated after generously parting with money you really cannot afford in the name of love. These scammers are ...Ugh...I have heard of this IRS scam actually.

Hi, Pat....

Dec, Jan, Feb, and March are usually slow months in my business......but not for me, 20 years ago Joe Love & I found a niche for the Winter Doldrums....college basketball tours.   After the traditional Christmas tours, I had 12 trips following Kentucky Wildcats BB on the road in the SEC and NCAA.   It was just a blur......

I am thrilled to have the time to enjoy interacting here again....

I met someone at the UPS store about a week or two ago.  Seems somebody was filing federal taxes for people in Maryland Heights.  This woman found out and she is not allowed to file online for 5 years.  The refund was sent overseas.  You think that would have been a tip off to the ole IRS ...

One has to be so careful, these scams are becoming really sophisticated. Yes I guess it was a happy little meeting, pity it is not always so.

And your scammed friend proves once again,

when you are too upset to think clearly, when something drastic has just landed on your head, it's the wrong time to respond to it, the right time to get some further information.
