I was waiting for some others to comment before adding my own. I'm glad others agree that your voice as an educational one adds so much...and CCT can understand very well that the moderate Muslims are not doing enough to stop the radical Muslims from killing them and they are getting slaughtered in several places in the world and the radicals have made it clear that their intent is to slaughter all the rest of us who are not radical Muslims like themselves...period. It doesn't matter if you are a moderate Muslim/Christian/Jew/Atheist/Monkey...if you are not a radical Muslim who believes everything they believe, the chances are very high that you are going to die and the world leaders are taking very dangerous steps to increase the odds of that happening sooner rather than later. You can get confused trying to understand all the individual countries and the whole Isreal/Palestine thing.......And I would say to Wiley, how do you know for sure that along with a response for money, your name didn't go on a list of those against or for or whatever position you stated in your letter...that it does count somewhere? Because, of course, they don't carry a stack of letters around with them! I'm just saying there is a chance to do something with no idea that it's doing any good or do nothing and be sure that it's not doing any good....it's up to us...it always has been. (Sliding soap box back in and crawling back in hole....)

Naut have you ever thought that some of us do not understand the topic . What I know about politics would fit on the end of a pin. As the old farmer said it is better to keep quiet and feel like a fool,than to open one's mouth and speak like one. K. must be a bit more like yourself. Observant and passionate about the current situation.

I can only assume that much of this falls into that 'greasy wheel' category, and yes, it is always good to assess, ascertain, review and challenge! Voices are voices, no matter where they originate, and there's no such thing as too much information when it comes to the world stage. Being able to say "I told you so" down the road won't alleviate any of the problems, but it will be nice to know your efforts to inform the rest of us weren't in vein . . .

One of the the things I like about your blogs, Naut, is that you do
follow your curiosity, you do fact-checking, and you share. Maybe that's three things, but I think of it as one, with components. And I agree with you the world is mad, people will justify the worst behaviors with the best intentions. I just don't have the patience or the energy to deal with what feels like willful, entrenched ignorance these days. I've adopted the hope that evolution will refine the gene pool and the thoughtful will survive.

Of coarse not everyone is going to agree with you. Just like many don't agree with
my environmental views or someones religious views. Don't get bored, we need all
the Blogit members we can get.
