With a closed fist. JOKING. With ''me'' my relatives would deter me from straying too
far off the right path by, reminding me that the family name worked hard for its
achievements. The name was to be taken seriously. In short, they instilled pride in the
family name.

Depends what influence one has over the person in question. A fairly hard job to change views and not much thanks for trying to do so.

Well we start with our children and try to guide them and sometimes one has to take a stand with family workmates or friends....sometimes all one can do is walk away.
