My mom watered the roses one dry summer with the outflow from the washer.
The flowers loved the phosphates, never bloomed better!

glad to see the pictures of beautiful blooms back. lol, i would not think that sewage would be good either, i guess it is just the thoughts of it.....but it is animal waste, although most animals do not eat the terrible things that humans do, lol. i almost have my green house ready to use, but i need new plastic if i want to use it this winter, but the shade cloth is still there to use now this summer, so will worry about the plastic this winter. i really liked the poems.

Sewerage waste? I'm sorry, but I don't think I'd want anything to do with any type of vegetation if it was grown in sewerage waste . . .

No, one has to do a bit and then take a break Justi. I would not be doing this if I did not have a helper. Thank you.

Re: Pat.
Yes Pat, I can just picture the bees tearing the poor dandelions to pieces . Well it is like milk just comes in bottles from the milky springs. Your act of kindness is noted.

You are certainly right about that guy's fertilizer. Those poems were oldies but goodies.

I love those buttercups. They are like the dandelions here in a few weeks, dotted all over the grassed areas.

Pretty! Wildflowers, and very hardy ones at that, are what one will find on my property. I love a pretty garden, but am not a gardener, and it is just as well, what with all the doggies who used to run around here. Both poems lovely to read - and I enjoyed Pat's comment!

A few days ago I read a post on Facebook about spring, etc...
One friend posted that we shouldn't kill off the dandelions, because they provide the bees' first food in the spring. And someone else commented they didn't realize bees eat dandelions. I started to reply that they only eat dandelions when they can't get lobster, but decided that was just plain mean. Your photo of the buttercups reminded me of that silliness.
