Re: Mia890
Several people have suggested that. I shall have to go get some.

I also keep a little can of pressurized air handy, and clean my keyboard regularly. I usually have to use a rag to wash the keys as well, because I'm accident-prone and regularly spill drink all over the place.

A q-tip does really well to clean the keyboard.

De-crumbing... like de-fragging, should be a regular part of
computer maintenance. I have the same issue from time to time. I got a techie to take the keyboard off and clean out crumbs and cat hair and random dust, for $20.

Yeah, I would say eating anything right over your keyboard is a bad idea! It may be time to really break that habit . . .

Is it age? Is it because we grew up in that something like the same time warp? We are too much alike for it to be an accident. LOL. I have a nice little suction thing that helps get stuff out of my lap top.

I believe thaty's why they sell that air in a can to blow crud off the
keyboard at the Best Buy & other tech stores. We all crumb up the keyboard. And forget what we were going to write after the slightest distraction. We're like little bubble rainbows floating on every breeze that blows...

I am guilty of eating and drinking at the computer too. Fortunately I have not gotten burned yet.

My cat gets up on the desk between myself and my screen, and has more than once spilled whatever beverage I have with me...plus cat hair...and yes, crumbs too. I have a couple of keyboards on standby...this from experience. And in spite of all the keyboard problems, you have given us an interesting post!

Welcome to the club! My current one probably feeds on the stuff I'm dropping it - it seems to thrive on it, LOL...(I'm writing this on my so-called smartphone, which ain't even smart enough to recognize a flower when it sees one, so I can't give you one, sorry...:)

I get DustOff it is a can of air with a little tube to point into the crevices to clean the computer with. I got wireless thinking it would be much smoother but it gets cranky if the mouse gets near the edge of the little pad it sits on. Isn't it always something. Love you lady.
