How fun.  No telling what he will do next.

Your Ben sounds like a good-hearted fellow with a great sense of fun.

And the robin obviously knew he was no threat to herself.  Nice.

Good relaxing morning out with the pooch. Nothing wrong with that.

I can picture that - love to watch them play. Unfortunate that humans cannot share our world as most animals do.

Ben was quite curious I expect . The Robin did not think he would harm him, but just in case he flew a little way each time to be sure. I suppose a bird can't take chances. Although didn't robins once follow wild pigs in forests waiting for them to snuffle for nuts etc. That robin waited for grubs and worms. Pity you did not film the  action.

Nautikos

Yep, they were playing....I used to watch squirrels and birds play on the limbs of a tree right outside my bedroom window in Kansas City.  And, OMG, the birds in New Mexico....messing with Mama's two Westies....hilarious!

That is a cute interaction between the two.

Charming post, they were 'playing' with one another.

That beauty is like love it needs no proof it proves itself with the ease and beauty. I could just see them.

Reminds me of my, gone but not forgotten, German Short hair. My Kata would stop, then point, then slowly creep towards the bird, freeze, point again, then chase it into flight.  You are right, she never caught the bird, but the bird and others would return for more fun.

I'm sure they were playing! Nothing wrong with that! And it seems to me that Bennie enjoys more the company of the other critters of nature than various people! Ya know, we have a lot in common . . .

I am sure that they were both playing. That bird could have flown off out of the way if it wanted to. Would have made my day too, watching them.
