- Go to ENGLISH PRONUNCIATION...SOMETHING JUST FOR FUN
Actually, that stuff cracks me up --
Have you ever paid attention to some of the verses in old Methodist Cokesbury hymns? They read just like that poem.

Yep! The pronounciation of English is like that. My Czech grandma refused to even try and hung around her family and Czech friends so she wouldn't have to.

I thought it was more fun than reading The King James Bible. New King James easy. This was not a real problem. Clever actually. I would like to send this to our daughter who is an English teacher, she would have a blast with it.

Hey, I got through it with no problem! But yes, English can be very difficult for someone else to learn. At least 'proper' English anyway . . .

You really need a rhyming dictionary, makes life simple, or better than that don't worry if shutting the dour sounds like that, Actually up north and different areas have different accents I can never understand half of them.

I have heard English is one of the hardest to learn no matter what language you speak!

That was fun! But I am an avid reader, and studied in English. I can imagine someone attempting to learn the language would find it rather daunting.
