I wonder if you wore a black mask. Do you think Ben would understand his disapproval is unwarranted ? I bet he would chase a black cat. I suppose we all have quirks and idiosyncrasies, so why not Ben. I expect you will think of a solution.

We had the same problem with my childhood Susie for the same reason.....I will have to see with the current Susie.  She's never seen anyone with anyone in a uniform or of color...one never knows how an animal will react.  I think it is normally a problem if there has been abuse or if the dog is of very aggressive nature and the person is throwing off a lot of fear - bad mix.

Growing up we had the same problem with our dog Nanny. Same situation no

African Americans living in the area. But...they would come and buy veggies or to see

the horses sometimes. Nanny would go absolutely crazy.

Oops! Ah well - and they say dogs are colour blind! Maybe it is that he feels them being nervous around him too - a sort of tension people will get if they are not sure about a dog?

I had a dachshund, he hated the postman ...all uniforms...and yes bit two policemen when they came to the door looking for the previous owner of our house.

Image result for dachshundand he could look so angelic...

My grandfather had a German Shepherd that did not like black people either. I am wondering how that comes about in a dog.

It's embarrassing - but I've known many dogs, especially the

small yappy kind, who go ballistic at any knock, ring or footstep at the front door.

Oh that is sad for sure. I think most dogs dislike delivery people of any color but for him to connect the two and not deduct color without the uniform is odd. bless his heart, he simply was hurt once. I understand but it is not your fault at all.
