I love cold, crisp jicama.....ummm, esp as a finger food when I want some kind of dip concoction I've whipped up or yield to a yen for chocolate.  I've never had it cooked as it is, in my mind a cold food and I just can't get a taste bud excited about even wanting it hot - need to get over that!  And I will have to try Romaine in my morning smoothie; I've been doing kale for so long the change would be nice!

I do not recall having heard of it. Very beneficial, indeed.

I got some romaine today just so I can try it in a fruit smoothie like you said.  LOL
I think I'll try it at breakfast with some raspberries, see what that does.

Nautikos

I think you will be pleasantly surprised. They are crisp, fresh, I like to cut them in sticks and dip but I also just like to eat them from a dish of veggies before t.v. instead of sweets.
