Staying like this for a long time isn't healthy. Both of you need to make a decision as to where are you heading in life. Wish both of you the best.

when I left my first husband I really though that we would get back together but one of his women got in the way and I realized that the marriage had just died of exhaustion. We wanted different things in life too.

I have known of many people who have grown apart from one another...I am glad that there are still at least some good times.

If you want to keep this going, C. If it were me I would try to make a fuss of him a little bit. It is a job to know what people imagine. Ask how he feels and if his hand pains him, little things bring folk comfort. I remember seeing a woman making a fuss of her son stroking his arm etc.
The husband did not say anything, but I thought it was not good emotional
feedback.

What you say is so true. We are compelled to talk about the bad things, to rant, to complain, but often we don't think to share the precious good things. So many people ask for prayer for one thing or another, but seldom do we share the answers to those prayers and be grateful.
