Well, here I go getting all simplistic again but it's just how my brain works...trying to understand by bringing something completely foreign into a circle of light I do understand if only for a minute and look at it under that light - even if it changes it into something completely foreign to its nature so that literal minded folks get nuts. In this case I have to compare Islam to Christianity, the Koran to the Bible....and as my knowledge is far from scholarly my circle is very basic. Disclaimer stated....there are all kinds of crazy things in the Bible and all kinds of disagreements (birth control, marriage, women's role to name a few) that have evolved and Protestants and Catholics have found ways of making the religion work, too....and that would seem to give me hope that Muslims could do the same. But, from everything I've understood (perhaps in error) from your posts, I have come to the sad conclusion there is a snowball's chance in hell of that happening because it seems the majority of Muslims have no identity other than their religion. But, nothing is impossible...hope springs eternal.

I do not see a Reformation occurring any time soon. It is going to take a long time for politicians to change.

I don't believe in any suicide at all. But all Christian churches do Naut.
