Hey hold my hand Krisles , we will crawl through the long grass and shoot a young fawn.
I hope you know how to skin a warm animal, just warn me if the Sabre Tooth Tiger creeps down from those tall dark trees.

Marvelous poetry and to think I really can relate sadly to it having had five kids of my own who I read in that.

If the world ( and especially our society today ) were a play typed out on a piece of paper, it would probably be a good time to crumble it up, throw it away, and start over . . .

I knew this post was going to be a goodie. The bit on the younger generation seemed
quite accurate. I'm sure we could even add to it. Also as I have said before the U.S.
has become a welfare nation. That is nothing to be proud about....

You said it all so well. I find myself retreating from the world pretty much for all the reasons that you give.

As always, very very perceptive. But it isn't just your country or mine - it's the same everywhere, its the West...We're are the children of a tired civilization...T.S Eliot already knew it..."Falling towers/Jerusalem Athens Alexandria/Vienna London/Unreal/...And voices singing out of empty cisterns and exhausted wells..." (The Wasteland)
We are the children of a tired civilization, and we do little more than play...

So many people are immersed into the social media world that they cannot function in reality. I am hoping that things change, but I feel that the current generation is fargone.
