LOL! Very entertaining as always! But camping has never held an attraction for me...The closest I came to that, I guess, was when a friend and I sometimes slept in haystacks while hitchhiking in Britain one summer...

Boy that brings back lots of memories. I don't mind the memories, but I haven't had a desire to go camping for years. It is surprising what nice nature places one can see just surfing the internet.

I can speak in those same tongues as your Beloved if Wiley ever suggested camping. Not my thing. I lived for two years in that double decker Bus when I had babies...me and the ex...neither of us will go near a camp site, a tent or even a fancy Motor home. Never.

Camping is like riding a horse: you have to really want to do it
to make it worth getting the hang of it. My compromise is to sleep with the windows wide open.

Of course, you would have been but a dream in your dear pop's mind, but I grew up camping as my only summer vacation treat....we went for 7-10 day trips and my mom set up outdoor command centers from which I simply enjoyed hours spent water skiing, reading, dreaming and meeting like-minded folks. But, now? Uh-uh....no way...poor little bro and his Beloved....reality bites and public facilities really suck!! Enjoy your a/c, cushions and memories; and welcome to the shady side of life

I never did get into camping. I did it during sixth and eighth grade and had no fun doing it.
