It seems to me that she may have been either embarrassed or ashamed ( for some reason ) or simply fearful of her parent's reaction in general. I suppose it's a difficult situation for anyone to be in. Still, a puzzler indeed . . .

Naut: se finally broke down and told them herself because she is 4 mos pregnant and they will see it soon enough. They are more pissed that she has been lying for over a year more than anything.

Very strange indeed!Ā But if their daughter did not tell them, how did they find out? Apart from that - well, as you know, I have certain well-founded views on that whole Muslim scene, but it never makes sense to generalize about individual cases...
