Re: FormerStudentIntern,
And if we don't learn, we get those same lessons back until we do--and often the kick in the pants to get our attention gets more forceful until our attention is got!
The thing about questions is to ask the ones we really want the answers to. If we ask the wrong questions, we get the wrong information back.

We can learn a lot from our experiences and our questions.

Re: Krisles,
It's true, when the earliest needs of the child are not met, the later needs come along, and the adolescent doesn't have the tools to cope or work with them. Adulthood is never fully realized, as half the personality is still 3 years old, so to speak.
This may apply to souls, too, but most of us in that respect are not children, not young. An interest in all this is something of the more evolved soul.

As babies and toddlers we cling to the family and even early adolescence then we move toward our peers and then eventually as we age we begin to find our voice and independence.

I believe that if one were to look at the very opposite of everything that you describe, every step, every feeling, every experience....one might have a fairly good description of what we've come to term the mental illnesses that people struggle with. Very thoughtful post.

Re: Naut,
This is one of those places where connections can happen... though they don't always. This is, of course, a matter of choice.

Some times I feel that I belong in the Wilderness and just reconnect with the very edge of society when being alone becomes dangerous.

Very thoughtful, touching and strangely 'reassuring', reminding me...
