Re: jimmy

i am not one to feel badly over someone not telling me happy birthday.  my sis does not owe me anything or does anyone else.  i am the one that stays in contact she does not make the effort unless she wants to complain to me.  even as a young child i had allergies.  never got over them....sometimes i hardly notice them, this time i think i got a sinus infection.  i love down days, but only when i feel good enough to enjoy them.

Re: cct

my sis emailed me once i never want to talk to you again, a year later she emailed me maybe i was a bit hasty, so i went to see her.  i love my sisters and i guess if they treat me poorly it is because i keep loving them and letting them have a chance to treat me poorly.

Re: krisles

allergy problems , i think are genetic, we all have them in my family.  funny how i have friends that treat me with more love than my 2 sisters do.

Re: kabu

i love her as a sister, but we always have to rehash our childhood, she felt poor and poor, i had a wonderful childhood, she worked harder than anyone else ever has and now is older, sicker and we should bow down to her because she has money.  i do not or have i ever wanted anything from her, not even lunch because i feel as though she is trying to buy me.

Ugh - I've watched my Japanese DIL suffer from allergies and it seems so uncomfortable! I hope the medication is taking care of it and that you are feeling better now. About your sis, they say we can't choose our family, but we can choose our friends. I'm too far to take you out to lunch, but I can send you a big virtual hug for your birthday!!

Been there done that.  But people give what they can.  Happy Bday for the missed one.  I try to find reasons to celebrate me.

It is that time of the year with the allergies...That does sound like an excuse not to come.

Maybe enjoying getting out helps sinuses love.

I hope you feel better. I refuse too take any medications, only as a last resort. But

because of that I do suffer sometimes.

I don't blame you for not really 'celebrating' birthdays anymore. I for one don't like to acknowledge that I am indeed a year older! But a birthday lunch would be nice, if for nothing else than to stay in contact with your sis. And I guess I'm one of the fortunate ones. No allergies, and pollen doesn't affect me at all! Hey, sometimes you need a bit of a 'down day.' Relax, get better, and try again another day . . .

Well it is nice to be friends anyway Jean .I have three siblins, we always used to quarrel like crazy, but we are all good friends now, mellowed with age I suspect. Perhaps she will come when she has thought about it, she is OK., at the moment, times change.

I never really had allergy problems until  this year....and now I've had one solid allegy nightmare since before Christmas!  I don't have any siblings...but I hear these kind of stories every bit as often as I hear heartwarming ones And definitely, you enjoy a birthday lunch..you've earned it!

Yep, it's another kind of allergy season.  It will get us all one way or another.

you did the right thing having a day out of it and once you adjust to the pills they will work and you can too.

She has never said anything but my Sis will never visit me here either. She is going to Europe this year and doing a river cruise and a two week bus tour but is not coming to Canada...you can buy a "Round the World airfare," for about the same as a return fare, so she could come here on the way home...but she never will.

Jean

I hope you're feeling better! And do let her take you out for lunch - if you don't want a birthday lunch, just call it a lunch lunch...
