I think your son is right - there is nothing quite like a baby smell.
I'm not so sure about good friens, but at least his sniping is not so pronounced now. Time will tell.

I hear what you're saying, Ciel.
I have a suspicion that many of us had those notions.

Hmm maybe, but I am a poor 'Habs-loser'
Yes, it was a surprise. He doesn't look at all the bookish type...or act it.

See? Ya never know about some people. Personally, his 'smoking' would have been one strike against him, as far as I'm concerned. But, if your relationship with this co-worker has improved, I guess we can overlook that . . .

New relationships are always good, and it's nice to see things are going well and you have the job and baby to keep you smiling.

We can find that we have a lot in common with other people when we talk to them.

I love the smell of a tiny baby...My son once said that if he could bottle that odour he could make his fortune selling it to Grandma's. He's right. And maybe the guy at work who was getting under your skin will become a real good friend!

Oh, how many times the Universe has seen fit to send me a lesson
of that very same sort!
I think I must have gotten the notion somewhere that judging and opining is a grownup thing, like some people think of smoking, drinking coffee or booze, and having sex proves one has 'arrived' at adulthood.

What a warm hug your blog is today - pretty much always is, come to
think of it. Your comment asked if there'll be more of the story excerpts - and yes, there will be. I hope your co-worker with similar reading habits continues to improve in your estimation. As for cuddles with baby, worth losing a bit of sleep for that sweetness. ☺

Sometimes people do surprise us pleasantly, LOL...And it was nice you could spend cuddle time with Miko - more than making up for the Hab's loss, I'm sure...

He might be quite shy really Adnohr, but better to be a friend than a nuisance.
I thought when you said you were lonely that you had adopted another puppy.
Not very convenient at the moment I guess, can't you see the baby on a web cam.
Or is it the touch that invokes memories?

Funny how some, seems especially men, seem to try to approach with a stick instead of a carrot.....always the little boys pulling our pigtails....just to make a friendly connection. Good for you for staying open...we're just all trying to get through this war together
