Worse date was the one that did not materialize. Worse half a day before I fell into the abyss.

Worse date: Was when after having a friend check on me, I gave the codeword and she called the bartender at a Chili's and he hurried me out the Back door. Why? The guy wanted to walk the Silver Comet Trail alone on a first date. I sensed he was being dishonest.
Worse day: My mom was having surgery that day, and my sister asked if I was at home or work. "Go home and call me she says". I did, immediately. When I arrived, I called and they told me mom was going into hospice. No way to save her. The the school consoler who drove my 13 year old home showed up on the front porch with Gabby. Withing moments she disappeared. Gone. Mom died 6 weeks later. Gab was found 2 weeks later, but spent 8 weeks in hospital. So I do tell myself, I have been through and survived much worse than this.

I am not comfortable getting into my worse day ever other than to say it happened in late January 2010 and had me feeling the most intense anger and sadness that of which I have ever felt.
I have only been on one date in my lifetime, so by default, that would be the best and worse date I have ever been on.

Worst in the scheme of things I guess I may not have had any worse than others. I have had lots of really bad days. I try not to think of them individually or collectivally.

Hmmm . . . I think I can answer both questions . . .
Like a lot of people, I've probably had many 'worst days,' but at the top of the list I suppose was when I was sentenced to two and a half years in prison for being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
The worst 'date?' I met a girl through some weird dating service ( many, many moons ago ) who was a bona fide feminist. She talked about nothing but women's lib all night, and before our dinner even arrived I was ready to either get up and leave or strangle her!

Oh, yeah....hadn't thought about it in years and it just made me start laughing, which dissolved into a coughing fit! I always called it my "Alice's Restaurant" date....remember that song? I thing I wrote a post about it years ago...if I can't dig it up I'll have to re-write it just to re-live it because it was hysterical in retrospect. My date ended up in jail, but that was just a small part of it....
