I so admire your energy....and the diversity of your creative outlets.  It's obvious from your coaching in comments and posts on here that you gain satisfaction in helping others as well....I'm sure you are, and will be called on often.

quite the job because the era of the twenties is as distinctive as the 70's and or the hippy society...but you can pull it off i know.

Re: FormerStudentIntern.

I wouldn't go that far... but I can help make it better. Little Theater is generally built of enthusiasm and not much money.  It's amazing what they can do with the resources they have!  I get to be one of them now.

I am glad that you are able to help them and thus save the production.

Re: Pat,

It's true, and not all theatrical companies are as kindly as to care about those toes. But so far I don't think they've let her know she is getting 'assisted.' She will find out after the fact, I guess.  The show opens next weekend!

Re: CCT,

That is just what I did for several years, in fact, but I never got rich. Still, that and yard sales are the best sources, short of actual theater costume department sales.

I don't at the moment, but I can keep an eye open for them.  What size and do you prefer scarlet or something in lilac?

This time I didn't charge money--but there will be profit in it in other coin.

Re: Naut,

I learned that lesson many moons ago: a deposit they will want back, and in CASH!

More than one in this extended family of ours!

I agree with the comment about stepping on the young designer's

toes - although I know you'll be gentle. We all need a mentor when we're just getting started, and not all of them even try to be kind.

A good way to get rich Ciel. I bet if you went round charity shops you could pick up no end of old fashioned clobber. Sadly a lot of good old stuff just gets bundled up as rags.

You really should have charged something for use of the clothing. Hey have you any old Long Johns?

Ciel

I see it already occurred to you to ask for a deposit - I would do that! And you shouldn't feel you're stepping on the young costumer's toes - you're teaching her things, and if she likes her craft, she'd appreciate it...
