- Go to Word--Such A Powerful Word
Re: Krisles
It is the fault of Son #1. He loves words and in his readings he cannot stand to pass over a word when he doesn't know its meaning. If he has to look up a word, he assumes I wouldn't know it either and he keeps a list to bring to me. I often surprise him with what I know, and often surprise myself with what I don't know. The first one Elder Futhark was from a list he brought me. Also on that list were all the strange words of the post. I looked them up and wrote that bit for his enjoyment. He loved it and wanted me to share it with blogit writers.

I love words and it seems to me I once wrote a post likening our vocabularies to boxes of crayons. I thought you were making up your own words and it didn't occur to me to check the dictionary ...I'm too lazy anyway as I just enjoyed the flow and creativity of it. All but the first entry were easy to follow, anyway. I'm curious, though...if not motivated by any of the impulses mentioned, what did send you down this particular path? ( and please don't stop!)

I cannot take to the new stories that are all the rage, try as I do because I really want to understand what my Grandchildren understand...But I understand your poetry it makes absolute sense to me and I am really excited about it and want you to write and write and publish your work. I mean it....

Everyone's writing styles are different. Many times, simple is better . . .

I never thought about how the words we think and say are the product of what we have been given and received from the society, or societies, that we are a part of.

I will not sensationalize your work today, even though I could. WELL DONE.

Yippee! I had missed those - but now I get to sneak over there and read it aloud - roll those strange words off my tongue...

Easy for you to say! (at least it looked easy, like the words just
dropped naturally from your pen) Wonder-full.

Well you have managed to make your new speak understandable.I imagine it takes a bit of studying to find the right words. Glorious fun though.
