My wife and I have what many might refer to as 'basic cable,' and that's all we need! We also still have an antenna TV upstairs, but it only gets a couple of channels. It's usually just on in the background while we attend to our cats. All of those other channels and services would be fine . . . if there was anything actually worth while to watch on them! We like to keep it simple, and cost-effective!

I have the same problem Lustor. We have Netflix and a regular service as well as it furnishes our computer access. I would not want just netflix but I hate the bill for the other one.

I don't know love, it is never as cheap here as it is down there. One good rule for everything. If it seems too good to be true then it is!

Well although I get a free license I don't think I have watched the television since Christmas. I get about three offers come through the post each week for exciting programs. I think a lot of it is rubbish. So I would advise you to go for free, but you may have a job to quit if you have signed a contract. I had to go through no end of silly procedures to finally be able to quit and I had been with that same crew for 15 years.

i have to live as frugally as possible, so i bought myself an antenna and i watch for free all the local channels and pbs channels and about 4 movie channels.yes i said for free after the cost of the antenna, and i live in a rural area. free is the way to go. i will not, even if i have the money to spend, buy tv again.....but then i do not watch a lot of tv.
