There are many things around us, and in the universe in general, that we will never, ever fully understand. And that goes for religion, God and spirituality. We can guess, we can surmise, we can rationalize, we can feel anything we want. But having all the 'right' answers? That's never gonna happen . . .

Your definition of spiritualism makes sense to me.

I think you are right...most people use the term spiritual to say they believe in something but just aren't sure what.

I would use that same term for myself if asked.  It is all such a huge mystery.

Your first paragraph is very true. I guess I should explain my view. I'm a realist,

although I believe there was a god; scientific evidence doesn't point to a supernatural

approach on creation. With that said. Only a tiny fraction of the universe has been

discovered. Until they figure out the infinite universe there will always be atleast

some belief in a world created by God. I respect all peoples religious beliefs, although

sometimes judgements on the way things should be escalate too far. I find you to be

 an interesting and good writer.

Krisles

Mais non, mais non, ma chere, (As a Canadian, I'm allowed to speak as much French as I want - I just wish I could speak it better than I actually do, LOL) this is where you've got me wrong! I know a little bit of stuff, and I do like science - but I also 'know' that 'knowing' and science only go so far! Beyond that the Universe, life, consciousness, love, beauty and all the rest is a HUGE, unfathomable mystery of which one sometimes gets only the faintest 'whiff', a vague apprehension...

It's just that I prefer to write about stuff I know, rather than things I don't know, a habit not uncommon...
