I loved that book! Bucky and I were huge Monty Python fans and latched onto this book at the suggestion of a mutual fan of the show.  I haven't read it in years and need to pull it out again, see how it hits me now.  I remember thinking often how frequently forty-two pops up...it was a favorite domino game my folks played when I was a kid and it is in lots of music, etc.  Fun post.

LOL...so long ago I read it and saw the movie. Should find it and read again. One does forget some of the good stuff.

LOL! I've read the 'Hitchhiker's Guide' - hasn't everybody?  But I must confess - I haven't read any of the sequels! Maybe I should, but I have a hard time getting to shorten my ever lengthening list of 'must-reads'...
