Well, as with anything else, sometimes you have to become a 'bargain hunter.' My wife and I get coupons in the mail sometimes for certain items. But they'll say SAVE $1.00 . . . but you have to buy four! We don't want four! We only want one! Sometimes it's just not worth it. But, any discount is better than none. Just pay attention to those prices, and only get what you really, really need . . . and want!

Well LL. they do it at the hardware and 'Do it yourself ' store every Wednesday. I have never seen supermarkets cater for the older folk in that way. Although it seems your store has not a very great opinion of the judgment of its older customers. If you think it is worth the aggro I would write down the prices and do a check before buying. Pity you all can't go elsewhere as a protest.

I know how good you can be at keeping 'em honest. Time to see the manager and let him know this is not fair trading...

I am not sure if the grocery store that I go to offers senior discounts of any kind. If they do, they do not advertise it...That could very well be the strategy behind their pricing.

Wednesday is a good day to shop here if one is a senior. The stores I frequent have senior discounts and specials on that day. I did not go today because it is quite cold today and I didn't want to get out.
